Live brand experience: Mark Ronson announced as brand ambassador for Coca-Cola for 2012 Olympic Games

Coca-Cola is launching a multi-platform campaign centred around the London 2012 Olympics with live brand experiences spearheaded by Mark Ronson and five athletes.

As brand ambassador Ronson has collaborated with Katy B to create a song which samples sports sounds from around the world, which will be the subject of a documentary.

The campaign will be run across the web, through text messaging and apps with Coca-Cola producing specialised recyclable packaging especially for the event in its official capacity as a sponsor.

Athletes such as British table tennis player Darius Knight and US hurdler David Oliver have been recorded for Ronson's track as well as Russian runner Kseniya Vdovina, whose heartbeat was recorded at 120 beats per minute.

The Olympic stadium was the backdrop for a stage erected in the carpark of Forman's Fish Island where Ronson filmed the documentary.

There will be 26 sports featured at the London 2012 Olympic Games broken down into 39 different disciplines.

Ronson said: "But the sounds Darius creates, his grunts squeals and stuff are unusual and great."
