Live brand experience in pop-up shops are "set to flourish" in the future as they are a creative way to boost a business. According to the University Times, empty consumer wallets have meant that many businesses in Ireland have had to become more creative to draw customers in – and brand experiences are a popular choice. "Without a doubt the biggest name to be associated with the new Dublin pop up phenomena is CrackBird, a pop up restaurant spear headed by foodie entrepreneur Joe Macken, who is also behind the ever-popular and 'hip' restaurant, JOBurger in Rathmines," the website says. CrackBird helped to promote itself by asking people to tweet the restaurant in order to get a free meal, according to the news provider. And other big names such as Brown Thomas are luring customers with the brand experience, as well as fashion designers, as they latch onto what blogger Geoff Griffiths, writing on UTalkBusiness.com, called a "memorable" way to catch customers' attention. Yesterday, the Herald reported that a council-owned commercial property in the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown area will the first 'pop-up shop' in the county available for businesses that want to stage a live brand experience.
